Junior/Middle DevOps Engineer

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS, Azure, or GCP;
• Implement and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation;
• Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on the cloud;
• Manage and maintain the infrastructure to ensure its availability, performance, scalability, and security;
• Work closely with development teams to integrate new deployment processes and strategies;
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments;

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including automation and orchestration of cloud environments;
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in using IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar;
• Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or Amazon ECS;
• CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI;
• Scripting and Automation: Strong scripting (Bash, Shell) and automation skills using scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Perl;
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar;

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience;

• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues;
• Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and developers;
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and methodologies in a rapidly evolving environment;
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting workflows, tools, or complex systems;

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in a DevOps capacity, preferably supporting an agile development process in a fast-paced environment;

Desirable Additional Skills:

• Certifications in cloud services (AWS Certified, Azure Administrator/Developer, Google Cloud Certified);
• Prior experience with network administration or security compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2);
